Private Swim Lessons in West Vancouver

Swimingo offers private one-on-one swim lessons in West Vancouver. Certified instructors travel to your condo or building pool across West Vancouver, including Ambleside, Dundarave, Hollyburn, Caulfeild, and the British Properties area. Every instructor is certified and background-checked before their first lesson. All ages and skill levels are welcome, with flexible year-round scheduling and no waitlists for crowded public swim programs.

West Vancouver is one of Canada's most desirable communities, with neighbourhoods shaped by the mountains and the sea. Ambleside sits on the waterfront with shops, beaches, and a relaxed village feel. Dundarave has a small-town centre, heritage character, and easy access to the seawall. Hollyburn and the upper levels draw families to larger homes with views and forest trails nearby. Caulfeild in the west has quiet, wooded streets and a private-community feel. From British Properties to Eagle Harbour, West Vancouver families expect focused instruction that fits a premium neighbourhood pace.

West Vancouver has a mix of indoor condo pools and private home pools. Ambleside and Dundarave have towers and townhouses with building facilities. Hollyburn and the upper levels have many homes with pools. Rain and cooler weather mean year-round indoor lessons are essential here. Swimingo sends certified instructors to your pool for every lesson. No drive to a crowded public facility on Marine Drive. No losing momentum when outdoor programs end for the season. Your child gets one-on-one coaching in familiar water. Lessons schedule around school, activities, and commutes on the Upper Levels Highway.

You do not need to own a pool to book with us. If your building, a neighbour's backyard, or a family member's pool works, we can likely teach there, your instructor brings kickboards, noodles, and any other safety equipment the lesson needs, so you don't need to buy anything. That matters even in a community known for private home pools, since not every West Vancouver family has one of their own. Coverage also runs across the whole North Shore and beyond, the same certified instructor pool serves North Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond, so lessons can follow your family wherever you split time.

A private lesson also looks different from a registered group class at the West Vancouver Aquatic Centre on Marine Drive. A typical group lesson puts one instructor in the water with several kids at different skill levels, competing for spots in a popular program with a long-standing waitlist reputation. A private lesson is one instructor and your child for the entire session, at a pool you already have access to. Nervous swimmers get patience instead of pressure to keep pace with the group, and stronger swimmers move as fast as they are ready to.

Booking a package also saves money. A package of 10 lessons comes with a 10% discount off the single-lesson rate, and package holders get personalized progress tracking in their dashboard, so you can see what your West Vancouver swimmer is working on between lessons instead of guessing from a verbal update. Plans change, so lessons can be rescheduled up to 12 hours before the start time, with credit issued for future use, we ask for at least 24 hours notice when possible.

We teach toddlers, school-age kids, teens, and adults at all levels. Young swimmers build safety and comfort indoors. Older kids prepare for summer sailing, beach time, or swim club. Adults learn from scratch or refine technique for fitness swimming. Beginners get patient coaching. Stronger swimmers work on strokes and endurance. Every lesson is one-on-one.
